I am directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey to
que acknowledge the receipt of your letter 11855/1913
relative to the deportation to England of Miriam
Monteith.
In deference to Mr. Secretary Harcourt's further
representations Sir E. Grey is willing to authorise
the payment of Monteith's passage from Foreign Office
funds.
I am to request however that as far as possible
the account of the expenditure may be duly supported
by vouchers.
