Sir,

I have the honour to inform you that our

Solicitors report the receipt of a letter from the.

Solicitors to the Anglo-French Wireless Telegraph Co. Ltd.

intimating with regret that owing to circumstances beyond

its control the Company is unable to continue the

negotiations for the establishment of Wireless Telegraph

Stations at Singapore, Penang, Hong Kong, Kombasa and

Barbados, and accordingly withdraws from these negotiations.

We have since received a letter from the General Manager

of the Company confirming this decision.

In these circumstances I have to request the

Secretary of State's instructions as to proceeding in

the matter.
