RECO Prof 2 AUG 13

8 Manchester Yusre,

July 30th 1913.

Gentlemen,

In answer to your letter 11/5644 re 1.r.

S.H.Goodwin, I have the honour to say tha. I did not

regard the defects mentioned se justifying his

rejection for the following reasons:

(+)

Although congenital in origin they have not prevented S.H.Goodwin from enlisting and serving in the Royal Artillery,

(2)

He has served for no less than five years in India without, so far as I was informed, suffering from any disability &ctributable to these defects.

(3)

He suffers no inconvenience from them at the present time.

I considered that as his duties as a

soldier had produced no ill effects from trese defects it was improbable that his auties as a constable woula lead to incapacity from these causes.

I sin,

etc..

(Sa)

John Rose Bradford.
