I have the honour to transmit a copy of a

letter which we have received from Mr. R. H. A. Craig,

lete Assistant Superintendent, Prison Department,

Hong Kong, stating that he has received no payment in respect of the 29th. April for either salary or pension. We have only been furnished by the Government of Hong Kong with the usual particulars of pension, which we have been instructed to issue as from the 30th. April

inclusive.

2. I have to request that we may be informed what answer should be returned to Mr. Craig's letter.
