Linute.

I have the

honou

nour to acknowledge the

receipt of your letter No.10877/1913 of the 9th April instructing us, subject to the condition

recommended in the last paragraph of our letter of the 28th March, to accept the tender of the Anglo-French Wireless Company Limited for the erection of stations at Hong Kong, Barbados,

Singapore, and Penang.

2. We communicated with the Company

in accordance with these instructions and I now enclose a copy of the reply we have received. We consulted Messrs Preece Cardew and Snell in the matter and they are of opinion that the pro- posals put forward should be sufficient to safe- guard the interests of the Government against any action that may be brought for infringement

of patents, etc.

A copy of their minute to

this effect is also enclosed.

3. We now await the instructions of

the Secretary of State as to whether we are to

accept the proposals now put forward by the Company.

The Under Secretary of State,

&c., &c., &c.,

Colonial Office.

I have the honour to be, Sir,

Your obedient servant,

Jo Cram Cagents
