No. 3.
H. M. Dockyard,
Hongkong, 14th. June, 1912.

I am directed by the Commodore to acknowledge with thanks your letter of 6th. May No. 15 in 67/1912, in which you state that there is no objection on the part of the Colonial Government to the disposal of Site A to the Admiralty for the erection of oil fuel storage accommodation, if so required.
As regards para. 2 et seq. of your letter, in view
of the conference between His Excellency and the Commodore, it is understood that His Excellency decided to amend the proposed re- -alignment of the Canton Road so as to obviate the inclusion of
Admiralty property, and to take in any area required for that
purpose from Site A. If this assumption is correct the Commodore
would be glad if the enclosed plan could be amended to show the
actual area of the reduced Site A, and if the terms for same may be
stated.
The Honourable
The Colonial Secretary,
Hongkong.
I am etc..
(Sd.) Stanley Cooke,
Secretary.
