IREC REGE 22 DEC 13

lir. Crook was born on 3rd. of December, 1873.

2. He gives his history, prior to his arrival in the Colony, as follows:-

"Honoursman, Prizeman, Senior Moderator, Gold Medallist, *(T.C.D.) M.A. English Literature Haster, Wesley *College Dublin (6 years), Science Coach for Mr. Warren,

*&c. (Dublin)".

3. He was appointed an Assistant Master at Queen's

College in October, 1902, and has held the post until now.

4. Though not very robust in appearance he has good

health. He plays a good game of lawn tennis.

5. He is married. He has no family.

6.

He is a highly educated man and interesting to talk

to, with strongly marked literary and scientific tastes. He has

a noticeable Irish accent. He is a gentleman.

7. As regards his work, he is keen and full of ideas;

perhaps rather apt to be discouraged if confronted with difficult-

-ies. He is at his best when given a free hand, and when teaching

advanced students. He is not so well suited to teach young children

8. He has had small opportunity to shew whether he possesses capacity as an organiser. I should say that he has it.
