I have the honour to request that a new head-

-master for the Victoria British School may be selected and sent

out in place of Mr. H. A. Cox who has lately tendered his resigna-

-tion on account of the ill-health of his wife.

2.

The title of the new officer will be "Master in

the Education Department" and the conditions of the appointment are

set forth in the attached paper of particulars.

3.

As it is desirable to fill the vacancy as soon

as possible I replied to your telegram of the 16th. September that a successor to br. Cox was required and that a Despatch was follow-

-ing by mail.
