I regret to inform you of the death of William Laugh- -ton, Police Constable, which occurred yesterday afternoon.
He was admitted to hospital on the 7th. suffering
from inflammation of the left lung. His condition became steadily
worse with high fever and failing heart and on the following day
the disease extended to the right lung.

He became rapidly worse and died on the 10th.
