The collection of Anonhelines and of Culicines other than Stegomyia..
This work is making steady progress but is not
sufficiently advanced for any definite report.
It is however already evident that there are con-
siderably more species of anophelines in HongKong than the
three already recorded and it is also extremely doubtful if
Pyretophanus miniņus occupies the position assigned to it in
Dr. Thomson's report.
The work will be continued till next spring when I
go on leave and I hope to take a representative collection
home to he finally worked out there during my leave.
The great financial importance of a really exact
determination of the anophelines of a district has been 30
Bentley: well demonstrated lately (e.p. Barhtey's Report on Malaria in
Bombay 1911 Christophers' "Malaria in the Andamans") that it
is hoped to carry on this work till an equally exact knowledge
of the anophelines of HongKong is obtained.
