the 20th. April and previous correspondence, I have the honour to inform you but the Lacao Opium Form has been relet for a
years from the 1st. August, 1913, at an annual rental of g1,056,660 to lessrs. Chau Shing and Siu in. I enclose copy of a inute dated the 21st. July by the Superintendent of Imports and Exports on this subject and I attach for your infor.stion a trans- lation of clause 2 in the conditions of lease of the runo Opium
Ferm as published in the Lacro Government Gazette of the sth. July. The accompanying minute by the Superintendent of Imports and
Exports shows that the successful tenderer evidently anticipaves
that he will be able to dia ose of the whole of the 5:0 chests he ir
allowed under the contract to import.
The attached resolution "rs passed by Legisla- -tive Council at its Leeting on the 24th. July. I enclose copy of
the rearks the Colonial Secretary unde in Loving the resolution.
No further questions were asked although some had been expected.
