With reference to your letters No. 134/1906, I have

to inform you that telegraphic instructions have been received from

War Office to "follow procedure para. 7 Colonial Office despatch

30th. December, 1894" as regards acquisition of land on Lount

Davis. The cost of arbitration is there laid down to be borne by

the Colonial Government, as regards cash payment, but is to be credited to it in the special account.

To avoid this I am prepared to accept the 3 cents premium if Colonial Government will agree to the Z80 rate of Crow

Rent.

These rates to be applied to such portions of land

as may be required to be measured up when finally decided on.
