I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your
letter C/112/07 of the 23rd. ultimo forwarding a plan of the land
which the War Department desires to acquire in perpetual user for
the construction and protection of a battery on Mount Davis.
The area is valued by this Government as follows:-
