GOVERNMENT HOUSE,
2nd August, 1913.
I have the honour to forward for your
information the enclosed extracts from the Canton Intelli-
gence Report for the two months ended 30th June, a copy
of which was kindly supplied to me by Mr. Consul-General
Jamieson.
Since these interesting passages were
written events have happened to contradict many of the
facts recorded.
The most important is that the Kuo Min Tang
proves to be by no means dead as I have recorded in a
separate despatch.
