Tomes and told him of it. I said that the tenants of these floors and of the whole block complained that the houses should be repair- -ed. The Compradore said "I have translated the letter, and the letter had been handed over to the manager". I thought if the houses were not repaired at once there would be a collapse. I never thought that it would collapse so quickly. I went and saw the Compradore 3 times. Once only after I had received a report from the tenants. Last visit was in connection with 7 and 9 only. I told the Compradore that the houses were in danger of collapse. He said the Manager knew of it. I saw the Compradore last on the 2nd. or 23rd. Jay. On that day the Compradore said he had already told the Manager. On the first two occasions was about general repairs. I
gave him the letter on the 2nd. time. On the 3rd. time I told the Compradore about the dangerous condition of the buildings. The Compradore said "Tuat is all right. The Lanager knew about it". He said nothing else. I did not complain to the Compradore un the first two occasions that the place was dangerous. I dont know if the repairs were carried out. The Compradore said that this was alright so I thought it was alright.
No question by the Jury.
