Information of Witnesses severally taken and acknowledged on behalf of Our Sovereign King George the Fifth
at the douse known as Police Court in Victoria, in the said Colony, on the 2nd., 3rd., and 4th. day of July, in the year of Our Lord One thousand nine hundred and thirteen, before Francis Arthur Hazeland, Esquire, Gentleman, Misurate for the said Colony touching the death of Kwok Kwan, who was killed by the collapse of houses llus. 7 and 9 Upper Station Street on the 14th. June, 1913, then and there lying dead as follows, to wit:- The Jury having been duly sworn:-

iar. Hodgson addresses the Jury and calls. Harold Macfarlane sworn and examined by Mr. Hodgson. I am Medical Officer in charge of the Public Tortuary, Hongkong. On the 15th. June at 11.30 a.m. I examined the body of a Chinese man adult named Kwok Kwan aged about 50. The body was identified by his clansman Sam Nam. The cause of death was
ultiple injuries. The fact that the deceased was the victim of the collapse of a house would have caused the injuries
which resulted in the death of deceased.
Arthur Edgar Wright sworn and examined. I an Executive
Engineer in charge of the Buildings Ordinance Office and the
Officer appointed by the Governor-in-Council to deal with
Dangerous Buildings. On the 14th. June at 1.15 p.m. I received a telephone message that there had been a collapse in Upper Station Street. I made what arrangements I could at the office for the supply of coolies, scaffolders and baboo men and I went to Upper Station Street.
