involve the grant of Crown Land:-

(a). The existing Crown Leases of Larine Lot 239 and Inland

Lot 1355 to be surrendered to Government, when required

by the Land Officer, and new leases to be taken out for

the amended areas resulting from the surrender and grants hereinafter described. The new Leases to be issu-

-ed free of cost in the case of the areas referred to in

clauses (e), (f) and (g) of these conditions. (b). The area coloured red on the accompanying plan to be

surrendered to Government, free of cost, for the purpose of constructing a 30 foot road in continuation of Belchers Street. The small encroachment caused by the wall of an existing building to be permitted to remain, provided that such encroachment be removed on or before the 31st. December, 1916.

(c). An undertaking to be given by the lessee of arine Lot

239 and Inland Lot 1355 to surrender to Government such

additional area of land to the South-East of the area coloured red as may be required for increasing the width of the proposed roadway to 50 feet. Such surrender to be made at the end of a period of b years from the date of the aforesaid undertaking, the Government paying com- -pensation at the rate of $2.50 per square foot for such

additional area.

(d). The Government to grant to the lessee of Inland Lot

1355 the areas coloured blue, green and yellow on pay- -ment of premium at the rate of 5 cents per square foot. Premium to be paid into the Treasury within 7 days of the date of a letter signed by the Director of Public Works notifying the amount payable.

(e). The blue and green areas to be incorporated with Inland

Lot 1355 in the new lease to be issued for that lot, which shall be for the residue of the term of the exist- -ing lease, and the Crown Rent to be increased in pro- -portion to the increase in area.
