With reference to paragraph 5 of your Confident-

-ial Despatch of the 20th. December last, I have the honour to transmit for your consideration the enclosed plan of the area with- in which you were advised that the low-power wireless installation should be placed together with copies of letters from the Naval

As there are some buildings which can be

utilized for quarters &c., and as there is a good road already in existence. I propose for reasons of economy to fix on the site of the Lighthouse and to give an undertaking that in the event of war the station will be dismantled on the requisition and to the satis- -faction of the Military Authorities an arrangement with which the

Commodore concurs.

In connection with paragraph 5 of the Com- -modore's letter of the 8th. April, I have to refer you to Mr.

Lyttelton's Secret Despatch of the 4th. November, 1905, by which

the control of the station at Cape D'Aguilar was transferred to the

fernet Naval Authorities, and to state that this Goverment is quite pre-
