It gives me great pleasure to certify to the high character of Mr. E. R. Dovey. He was educated at the Sydney Grammar School, completing in London, to which place his family removed. While in London he attended the lectures and practical courses at the Imperial College of Science and Technology and gained the Diploma in Chemistry. He is assiduous and painstaking and of gentlemanly bearing. I have known Mr. Dovey's parents for
many years and can spak in the highest terms of the ethical train-
-ing he has received from them. His father, Mr. W. R. Dovey, is
Actuary and Managing Director of a Life Assurance Office here.
