GOVERNMENT HOUSE.
HONGKONG. 19th. March, 1913.
Sir,
7046
I have the honour to confirm my telegram of
28th. February in which I informed you that no action need be taken with regard to the appointment of an Assistant Analyst pend- -ing consideration of a local application.
2.
I now enclose copies of correspondence which
has passed between Mr. E. R. Dovey and this Government with regard to the appointment. Mr. Dovey is an Associate of the Royal College of Science and is of British nationality. He has been personally interviewed and seems in every way satisfactory.
3.
I have accordingly to recommend that hr. Dovey should be appointed Assistant Analyst in the Medical Department on
the terms communicated to him in the Colonial Secretary's letter
of 6th. March which I have ascertained he is prepared to accept. I
should be glad to have your decision in the matter by telegraph.
I have the honour to be, E
Sir,
Your most obedient,
humble servant,
