I have the honour to transmit for your con- -sideration the enclosed copies of an application by Mr. R. Baker, Engineer of Ways and Works in the Railway Department and of a minute and letter from the Lanager on the subject of an allowance in connection with the construction of the Terminal Station at

Kowloon Point.

For the reasons shown therein I have caused kir.

Baker to be informed that I would recommend for your favourable consideration the grant of a honorarium of £200 to be paid to him

on the completion of the work which it is estimated will take two

years, and I have accordingly to request your sanction therefor.
