Chapter 6: Election.
Regulation 8. The qualifications prescribed in regulation 4 will be
taken as proper qualifications for the purposes of election, and all
members of the Society will have the right to elect and to be elected.
Regulation 9. Any election to be deter.ined by a majority of votes.
(a). The Committee, the number of members of which shall be as pres-
-cribed in Regulation 6, to be appointed by election and will hold
office for a period of one year, on the expiry of which a further
election will be held.
(b). The Director, Assistant Director and other officers to be appointed
from among the committee by election and reported to the Board of
Industry and commerce for registration.
Chapter 7: Powers and Duties (of officers).
Regulation 10. The powers and duties of the officers of the Society are
as follows:-
(a). In the various affairs of the Society the Committee will have
power to make proposals and decisions.
(b). The Director will neve power to contra the various affairs of
the Society to supervise the officers and to plan improvements.
(c). In the absence of the Director, the Assistant Director will have
power to take charge of the duties of thebirector.
(d). The Secretaries will have the management of the affairs of the
Society under the direction of the Director and the Assistant
Director and will assist the Director in devising improvements.
(a). The Treasurers will have control over payments and receipts and
will see that the accounts are accurately and properly kept. (f). The Investigating Officers will investigate from time to time the condition of commerce and report to the Society for consideration at the meetings of tar various officers.
(g). In any dispute with foreigners on any matter, the adviser will
have to point out the strong and weak points of the case and will be required to argue the matter wita the foreigners concerned, if
