With reference to my Confidential Despatch of
the 6th. of November, I have the honour to transmit the enclosed
copy of a Memorandum furnished at my request by the Green Island Cement Company which contains some important particulars, not previously within my knowledge of the circumstances under which the Canton Authorities have stopped the Company's supply of lime-
-stone.
