Referring to your Confidential Despatch of the 26th. January, 1912, I have the honour to recommend that Mr. P. P. J. Wodehouse should receive the permanent appointment of Deputy Superintendent of Police with effect from the 14th. January, 1912, the date of his provisional appointment. The Captain Superintendent of Police speaks highly of his work during the past year.
In a Confidential Despatch of even date I have made certain reservations concerning the appointment of Mr. Wode- -house, if confirmed as Deputy Superintendent of Police, to act as Captain Superintendent of Police.
