I have the honour to ask that in the event of a vacancy
occurring in a Judicial appointment either in the Straits
Settlements or in the Federated Malay States that my name may
be remembered as a candidate for the same.
2.
I was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of
Lincoln's Inn in the Hilary term 1900.
3.
The Judicial and Legal appointments I have held since
1900, have been as follows: On the 26th May 1900, I was appoint-
ed to act as Police Magistrate and Coroner. On the 7th June
1901, I was appointed to the post of 2nd Police Magistrate, and
on the 21st March 1909, to the post of 1st Police Magistrate and
Coroner.
From October 1909 to April 1910, I acted as Attorney General
Puisne
of Hong Kong, and from May 1910 to May 1911, I acted as
Judge of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong.
4.
I have also passed the Hong Kong Civil Service
Examinations in Chinese under the higher standard.
