ca In reply to Mr. Read's letter of the 10th instant (38464/1912), I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury to request you to inform Mr. Secretary Harcourt that They have no objection to the withdrawal of Rs. 200,000 East India 34% Promissory Notes (1900/1) from the securities held by the Crown Agents against the Note Issue of the Mercantile Bank of India in Hong Kong, the Bank to deposit in lieu thereof £15,000 Bengal Nagpur Railway Company 34% Debentures.
I am to add that My Lords would be glad to be furnished with a list of the securities now deposited with the Orom Agents under section 4 of the ordinance No. 60 of
1911.
