Dear Sir,
I beg to return herewith the draft of the
agreement which is quite satisfactory. Bay I be
allowed, however, to make one observation concerning
my appointment? That is, can any allowance be made for
my service under Government up to the present time? I
first took up my Government Educational post in ilong
Kong in September 1904, 30 that I have over eight
years service to my credit.
I trust you will pardon my bringing up the
matter but it seems a pity, if it can be avoided, that
I should lose the benefit of these years of Government
service.
