Foreign Office, August 23, 1912. I AM directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey to acknowledge the receipt of your of the 15th instant respecting the general question of restricting the exports of uncertified opium from India.
I am to inform you that a copy of your letter with its enclosure has been sent to His Majesty's Minister at Peking, inviting his views on the consideration set forth in the letter from the Government of India, and that on receipt of his reply a further letter will be addressed to you.
