compliance with the request of the Governor-Gene-
ral of the Liangkuang Provinces, he had agreed to
suspend the through train service between Kowloon
and Canton fran November 7 to November 12,
Governor-General's request we immediately after-
wards confirmed by a telegram to Sir F. Lagard
from the Board of Cœuamicatione in Peking who
repeated the Governor-General's pledge that the
loss of earnings would be compensated for in terms
of Article 7 (f) of the (draft) Working Agreement.
