S. "Empress of Japan" reporting the rescue from drowning of one

Commodore R. H. Anstruther, R.N., concurs with

me that Delaney's conduct should be brought to the notice of the
Royal Humane Society and I shall be glad if this may be done. I
enclose in duplicate the usual form required by the Society to-
-gether with a copy of a letter with two enclosures from the laster
of the R. M. S. "Empress of Japan". It has not been possible to identify the sampan referred to.
