We have read with interest your various questions and remarks made at the last Legislative Council meeting, and take the liberty of bringing to your notice that we as Representatives of the Telefunken Wireless Co. would have great pleasure in giving you any information you may require in the furthering of a Scheme whereby Hong-
of -kong would have at once a Cheap and First Class Station/medium range for the use of the Shipping Community in this Colony.
We note that in this years Budget a sum of 8100,000 was provided for the erection of a wirless station, and for this sun we could easily provide one of our 5 TK Stations with a guarantee Day Range of 750 miles by day and 1,500 miles by night under unfavourable circumstances, completely erected including House, and Iron Towers. Under favourable conditions the range of this station would be even
greater.
We may mention that we would be willing to erect the station at our own cost provided we got a concession for a certain period, and a subsidy from either the Government or Shipping Companies. We should deen it a great favour if you would favour us with an appoint- -ment when we could lay before you our ideas, and should the matter go further we would send for our Wireless Expert at present in Shanghai. You may know that Siemens Bros Woolwich have bought over the Telefunken Patents for Great Britain and the Colonies.
