Letter to me re Telefunken system of Siemens China

Electrical Engineering Co., dated 31st. ultimo, with printed inclosure therein concerning the advantages of

the Telefunken system over the Marconi and Fessenden

system.

Further letter from same to me, dated the 8th. November, 1912, quoting various prices for various powers and

ranges.

Copy of a letter from the Head of the radio-telegraphic service at Hanoi to the Agent of the Messageries here

concerning the proposed erection of a wireless station

day

at Saigon, with a range of 7000 to 8000 kilometres, and

a power of 250 K.W., at a cost of 600,000 francs.

I also inclose various leaflets and pamphlets in relation to the Telefunken system.

There is nothing confidential in these papers, and there is no need for them to be returned to me. Perhaps the Government

may care to keep them for future reference.

Both systems would appear to be cheaper than the Marconi system, but whether they are equally effective I cannot, of course, pretend to say.

I have etc.,
