Regulation 35. In case of the failure of the xxx mine-owner to secure the permission of the landlord of any land to prospect for a mine on his land, the miner may report to the Deputy for Lining Affairs who will send for the landlord and see to the matter. Regulation 36. No written consent of any landlord of any land to allow any mine-owner to prospect for a mine on ais land shall be withdraw unless the miner has violated any agreement made between
the landlord and the mine-owner.
Regulation 37. After a mine has been prospected for, the prospect- -or shall either apply for a licence for mining or return his prospecting licence.
Chapter VIII.
Regulation 38. Any mine containing such are as is classified under (a) in Regulation 12 may be opened at will by the landlord of the land in which the mine lies, but must be duly registered. If such mine lies in Government land the approval of the Comissioner of Industry must be obtained, and Regulations 16 and 29 must be adhered to. No annual rent for such land and no royalties for such ore are necessary, but if any ore under classes (b) and (c) in Regulation 12 is discovered after opening, no operation shall be continued until a licence for mining has been obtained. Regulation 39. The Government shall have the right to be the first to open any mine of classes (b) and (c) winch lies in the Govern- -ment land, but the landlord of any land in which such mine exists
shall be entitled to open it first.
Regulation 40. Any ore of the classes (b) and (c), that may be discovered in any mine under class (a) may be excavated at the
