Reculation 23. The mine owner may lease any continuous and undivided lot of land from the Government for mining purposes, but for each separate lot of land a separate permit must be obtained. Only Government un- -cultivated land but no land which is already owned by anybody may be held from the Government.
Regulation 24. On the receipt of any application for a licence for min- -ing or for working small mines, the Comissioner of Industry will direct a Surveyor properly to survey the proposed wine, and on the report of the Surveyor will issue the required licence.
Licences for working shall mines renewable annually will be granted to owers of small mines which do not exceed 200 Mau in area and for which the capital provided is less than 82,000; but a Mining Licence is required when any mine is opened in co-operation with foreign-
-ers.
Regulation 25. When the ore found in any mine differs from that specifie in the licence, due report must be made. If the ore is absolutely of a different kind, the licence must be changed.
Regulation 26. When any licence for mining or for working smell mines is not intended to be renewed, or when any renewed licence has expired or when mining operations cease before the expiry of the licence, the licence shall be returned to the Deputy for Mining Affairs concerned or the Commissioner of Industry.
Remulation 27. Any licence which has been found to have been obtained be fraud shall be withdrawn and the fee already paid forfeited. Regulation 28. In case of the destruction or loss of any licence for inspection of any mine or for mining, the holder may apply to the Board of Industry for a duplicate.
Regulation 29. For a licence for Lining such ores as classified under (a) and (b) of Regulation 12, a fee of 50 shall be paid for one square li and $5 for every additional square li.
For a licence to prospect for any mine the fee payable is 830, but for any mine of less than 1 square li in area, half the fee is to be paid.
A fee of $5 will be required for any renewal of licence and any license issue of a duplicate licence or a peruit to construct
