With reference to my Despatch No. 310 of 20th.

Au、ust, 1912, I have the honour to recommend that the wives of the

three Indian Police who lost their lives in the attack on Cheung Chau Island should be granted pensions for life in proportion to the service of their respective husbands.

I propose that the wives of Lance Sergeant 703

Dagat Singh and Coustaule 769 Jhanda Sina whose service was 13

years and nine years respectively should receive the sum of Rupees 3.0 0 per month and that the wife of Constable 713 Inder Singh whose service was approximately 6 years should receive Rupees 2 0.0 per month, and I shall be led to receive your sanction for these grants to be made.
