I have the honour by direction of the
Licensing Board to report that the copy of correspondence
extracted from C.5.0. 1630/1910 on the subject of reforming the
public houses in this Colony was submitted at the meeting of the
Board held yesterday and it was decided subject to the approval
of the Government to give notice to the existing licensees of
the following public houses that their licences will not be re-
-nowed after November 30th., 1915:-

I am further directed to add that the Board
is of opinion that if any of the existing licensees are stil1
holding licences on the 30th. November, 1915, the question of
granting them money compensation to the amount of one year's
profits, which the Board estimate at $3,000 as a maximum, might
be considered by the Government.

Mr. Shelton Hooper is of opinion that the
owner of any premises which have been continuously in the
occupation of a licensee for 5 years should be compensated to
