Sir.

I have the honour to request your sanction to revive the post of Head Laster at Yauati English School in the

Estimates for next year.

2.

This post was temporarily abandoned towards the end of 1910 in connection with certain proposals made by the Director of Education for strengthening Queen's College as a feeder to the University and the Head Laster was transferred to the former

institution.

3.

Since then an additional storey has been added

to the school building which now provides accommodation for 350 pupils. In this connection I would refer to paragraph 11 (d) of my

3442 Despatch No. 330 of 7th. October, 1910.

To.

4.

The average attendance at the school for the last two years has been 200 pupils and it is confidently expected that early next year there will be a large addition to the present

-attendance roll.

5.

The Saiyingpun English School the average attendance at which in 1911 was 287 and is now 291 is provided with

two Englian Masters.

6.

For the above reasons I recommend that provisi-

-on should be Lade in the Es.inates for next year for a head

master
