The land to be held under the usual form of Crown Lease which shall contain a clause providing that the land is only to be used as a cemetery for persons of Chinese nationality permanently resident in the Colony subject to such rules and regulations regarding the management thereof as shall from time to time be approved of in writing by the Governor for the time being of Hongkong.

Usual power of resumption for public purposes on 12 months notice no compensation being paid for land or buildings but the expense of remov- -al of any existing graves that may be dis- -turbed to be paid by the Government. Petitioners to contribute $20,000 towards the cost

of laying out the area including boundary walls but no other buildings.

Petitioners to contribute annually a sum of $1,500

towards the cost of upkeep.

Petitioners to provide and maintain any buildings

required in connection with the cemetery. Petitioners to pay the wages of the necessary

cemetery staff.

The Government to grant facilities for the erection

of a pier in the vicinity.
