Report on Ordinance No...8... of 1912.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance for
prometing the General Revision of the Law by repealing certain
enactments which have ceased to be in feree or have become un-
necessary, by amending certain other enactments which stand in urgent need thereof, and by incorperating certain amending Ordi-
nances in their respective principal Ordinances, and for repeal-
ing Ordinance No.49 of 1911, and replacing it by a new Ordinance. and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Gocernor's Instructions,
This Ordinance was drafted by The Editer of the Revised Edition of
the Laws whe reports as follows:-
This new General Revision Ordinance has been introduced because (1) many defects were discovered by me on going through the old Ordinance
for purposes of verification;
(11) some eriticisms were made by the Secretary of State, which have been
acted on;
(iii) a considerable number of further important amendments have been dis- covered to be necessary during the progress of the Revision. This is now
almost concluded and this Ordinance is therefore final.
Owing to the exigencies of printing it has been necessary te intra- duce this Ordinance at once se as te liberate the type for the final Re-
vision and Amendment Ordinances which are new in the hands of the printers,
