Sir,
I have the honour to inform you that the
question of amending the Societies Ordinance, 1911, on the lines in-
4044 dicated in paragraph 2 of your Despatch No. 30 of 30th. January,
1912, was discussed last December and it was then considered un-
-desirable to do so for the reasons given in the enclosed minute dated 30th. December, 1911, by Mr.C. G. Alabaster, Acting Attorney- -General, in which Mr. Rees-Davies subsequently concurred.
2.
If it is however found by experience that the
provisions of the Ordinance are ineffective it will be amended in
accordance with the Straits amending Ordinance.
