Your Excellency,

101

Res 8 APR 12,

Having at your request gone into the question of

the acquisition by Covernment of K.M.L. 74 and 75 we hereby record our opinion that 4 dollars a foot is a reasonable price to pay and we recommend further that the land be purchased outright, the Government retaining the land on the North side of Salisbury Road at present in its possession.

As regards Larine Lots 3 and 9 belonging to the Wharf and Godown Company we approve of their being bought at 4

Co. dollars a foot, the Godown/getting the Police Camber.

In the event of the Government being unable to find the money required to carry out the above recommendation, we agree to the alternative proposal of an exchange of land being made on the conditions laid down in Mr. Chatham's last minute on the subject, K.I.L. 1140 and 1141 being reckoned at 2.75 a foot, but K.I.L. 442 being left out of the exchange, as Sir Paul Chater objects to taking it over at Mr. Chathamis valuation.

13th. March, 1912.
