Hon. Colonial Secretary.

Para. 3.

In all cases, the notification in the Gazette indicates the locality of the lot. It is of course possible to send a plan to the Military Authorities indicating the position of any lot for which application is made, but, in the great majority of cases, it would appear unnecessary to do this. The sale of lots on Hay Road, Conduit Road, and Taipingshan, Wanchai, &c., is scarcely likely to be of interest to the Military Authorities whilst the reference to them of every such proposed sale means additional work and some delay.
