REG 27 JAN 12

ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CHAMBERS,

Hongkong ..22nd. Desember,- 1911.

Report on Ordinance No...59... of 191/.

I have examined the accompanyiny Ordinance entitled

*An Ordinance to amend the University Ordinance, 1911.*

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions,

The amendments (a) (b) (d) (f) (g) and (h) of this Ordinance were

passed in consequence of the criticisms of the Board of Education trans-

́mitted with H. M. Secretary of State's despatch of the 14th. October,

1911. The amendments (c) and (e) were passed as it was found that the

Hong Kong College of Medicine were unlikely to agree to the terms of

reement of transfer as set out in the Third Schedule to the Principal

Ordinance.

C. G. Alabast

Attorney General.
