TESTIMONIAL

From

M. A. RUFFER, C.M.G., M.A., M.D.,

President Sanitary Maritime and Quarantine Council of Egypt.

SANITARY, MARITIME AND QUARANTINE COUNCIL,

PRESIDENT'S OFFICE,

ALEXANDRIA (EGYPT),

Telephone No. 2344.

22nd November, 1910.

Dr. BERTRAM BARNETT was Assistant Medical Officer at El Tor during the pilgrimage season, and I had ample opportunity then of forming an opinion as to his abilities and zeal. Dr. Barnett discharged his arduous duties extremely well, and got on splendidly with his colleagues of all nationalities. I appreciated greatly his tact under circumstances which must often have been somewhat trying.

As there was no post vacant for him here, I advised him to return to England, and I understand he is now a candidate for the post of C.M.O.H. I am quite sure that if he is elected to this valuable appointment he will discharge his duties efficiently and conscientiously, and that he will soon become a persona grata with all those with whom he comes into contact.

M. A. RUFFER.
