AN ORDINANCE to amend the Law in respect of
the Sale of Shares in Companies registered
under the Companies Ordinanco, 1825, and
the Companies Ordinance, 1866, and in other
Joint Stock Companies.
(30th July, 1301).

sale and purchase of diures and stock in

are not possossed or over which they have

B it therefore enacted by the Governor of
Hongkont, with the advice and concont of
the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1.
This Ordinance my be cited as the
Companies (Sale of shares) Ordinance, 1881.
6. (1) Every contract, agreement, and
token of sale and purchase which shall, from
and after the 1st day of October, 1801, be
made or entered into for the sale or trans-
fer, or purporting to be for the sale or
transfer, of any share or shares or of any
stock or other interest in any joint stock
company constituted under or reculated by
the provisions of any Act of Pertioment,
local Ordinance, Royal Charter, or Lettors
Patent, issuing sharos or stock tramofos.
