Foreign Office, June 26, 1911. THE JAPANESE Ambassador spoke to me to-day in the same sense as the Russian Ambassador about the currency loan in China, and gave me a copy of the note which his Government had given to the French Government. A copy of this note is enclosed."
I told the Ambassador what had passed with Count Benckendorff, and promised to let him, as well as Count Benckendorff, know when I had communicated with the United States Ambassador.
