This Department has receiveŭ jour petition of
the 30th of Julio last, in which, on behalf of the China
Commercial $.3.Co. Ltd., you ask for a compensation for the
detention of some steamers of that Company in Salina Cruz,
by reason of the proceedings of the Sanitary relegation in
that Port.
In answer I have to inform you that, as the sub-
ject in question comes under the jurisdiction of the De-
partment of the Interior, youth petition has been passed to
that Department for study and decision.
