MY telegram No. 19 of 25th January: Burmah-Yunnan frontier.
I received a further note from the Wai-wu Pu last night stating that Viceroy of Yünnan had reported arrival of 2,000 British troops at Pien-ma, and repeating request for their withdrawal.
I have to-day addressed a note to Wai-wu Pu replying to theirs of 14th January and 24th January in terms directed in your telegram No. 16 of yesterday.
