THE Under-Secretary of State for India presents his compliments to the Under- Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and, by direction of the Earl of Crewe, forwards herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State, copy of a telegram from the Viceroy, dated the 8th December, relative to the Pien-ma expedition.

SEE my telegram, dated the 28th ultimo, regarding expedition to Pien-ma. On the morning of the 4th instant the advance guard left Soniku, on the 5th instant the main column marched from that place, and on the 6th instant rations for base left the same place for Makawng.
