I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of

your letter of December 1st, in which you request (end of

paragraph 6):-

(1)

That if the decision of the Executive

Council (communicated to Your Honour in my letters of

October 30th is persisted in, to be allowed to state

pour case fully before the Executive Council:

(Para.10) "that the question of advising

the Governor to put Ordinance No.1 of 1910 in force

against you be again considered by the Executive Council

in view of the arguments contained in your letter under

reply regarding the proposed Appeal Court:

(3) "That the Legal profession should be asked

whether they concur in your criticisms and that their

replies should also be laid before the Executive Council

and the Secretary of State".

In regard to (2). Your letter will be àaid

before the Executive Council that they may reconsider their

decision as requested by Your Honour.

In regard to (1). If the decision is per-

sisted in Your Honour will be welcome if you so desire to

state your case before the Executive Council, but Ik am

compelled to inform Your Honour that the Council is only

prepared to hear your statement and that I am not prepared

to be cross-examined or to reply to questions. After

hearing your statement I should feel it my duty to request
